Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as an Request for Quote (RFQ) number 688-3-01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-19. The SIC code for this solicitation is 8999. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary travel, labor, materials, and parts required for the inspection, repair, and periodic preventive maintenance of the Advantx X-ray equipment and AEC X-ray equipment, located at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, NW , Washington, D.C. 20422, for the period of 10/1/00 thru 9/30/01 in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, schedules, and specifications of this solicitation. Awarded contract may be extended for two (2) additional option years in accordance with the clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, subject to the availability of funds. Acceptance time will be 60 days from quote due date.
