Description

Synopsis/Solicitation: This a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial product prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: this is solicited as a sole source. This solicitation, FA2550-00-Q-0504, is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 3825. The Business Size Standard is 500. The proposed systems that are being to upgraded/modified are three (3) each MMD8100 LAGUNA Digitizer Systems. The required work for each system is as follows: (1) 3 Each -- Embedded UltraSPARCIIi 333MHz w/512MB DRAM, 10/100 baseT, 36GB Hard Drive, and 3D Creator Graphic Card (2) 3 Each -- Solaris 2.6 for SPARC end VMEbus Driver Bundle Software (includes disks) (3) 3 Each -- Modification to Chassis Rear Panel to add Ethernet and SCSI Interface plus Internal Chassis Cable (4) 3 Each -- PMC 2MB Creator Video Graphics Card 1152 x 900 Ultra SPARCIII compatible (5) 3 Each -- Modification to Chassis Rear Panel to add Video and Keyboard Interface plus internal chassis cabling (6) 3 Each -- Installation of Embedded SPARC, Hard Drive, Solaris 2.6, system control application (FACTORY TEST) (7) 3 Each -- System Control Software application (in LABVIEW), technical support and software upgrades (8) 3 Each -- Shipping to US destination and insurance (if FOB Destination required) (9) 3 Each -- Add removable capability to the Hard Drive for two (2) of the systems (10) 3 Each -- Keyboard, Mouse, Mouse Pad, and Cables (11) 3 Each -- Additional charges for overseas (APO) shipment (if FOB Destination required). The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors _ Commercial Items, applies (vii) with the following evaluation factors: past performance and price evaluation factors are weighted equally, and price must be considered fair and reasonable. Offeror must include with its offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications _ Commercial Items. The clauses at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Cinditions -- Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders _ Commercial Items; 52.232.33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer _ Central Contractor Registration; and DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, are applicable to this acquisition.
