Description

The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue Invitation for Bids (IFB) TIRMS-01-B-00001 for courier services to transport inter-office mail to/from the Houston Headquarters Office and sub-office locations in the Houston, Texas area. The contractor shall provide daily pickup/delivery among the IRS locations and deliveries to the United States Postal Service at locations within a 60-mile radius in the Houston metroplex. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The applicable SIC is 4215. The IRS anticipates award of a firm fixed-price contract for a base year beginning on or about December 1, 2000 and two option periods. The IFB will be issued on or about October 2, 2000. The exact bid opening date will be stated in the IFB. All responsible businesses may request the solicitation in writing. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be honored.
