Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Acuson, Mountain View, CA for maintenance and repair services for an Acuson Scanner Diagnostic with components, currently located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Ft Carson, CO. This is a sole source procurement due to the proprietary nature of the parts and software required for maintenance of this equipment. This contract is for 12 months with a possible two option years. This procurement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2001 funding. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageious to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
