- Description
- Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and do all things necessary to provide Dining Facility Attendant (DFA) Services for Fort Wainwright and Black Rapids Training Site, Alaska. Period of service will be for a base year plus four (4) option years that may be exercised by the Government. Contractor tasks include but are not limited to the following: limited food preparation; dining room services; and, cleaning facilities, equipment, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Specific details are outlined within the DFA Services Performance Work Statement for services required at each location. All DFA Services are to be performed at Fort Wainwright and Black Rapids Training Site, Alaska. The contract will include the "Option to Extend Services" clause which permits the Government to extend services for up to six (6) additional months within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. The Service Contract Act applies. This is a Competitive Small Business Administration 8(a) Program acquisition. There are no geographical restrictions. The SBA requirement number is 7700-00-006861. Joint Venture Agreements/Joint Venture are allowable on competitive 8(a) set-asides, however, SBA must receive the joint venture agreement prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes needed can be made only when your BOS has adequate time for a thorough review before the proposal due date. NO CORRECTIONS AND/OR CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL OR BIDS. Offers from all responsible and eligible 8(a) source4s will be considered by the Agency. In order to be considered for award, the contractor must also be currently registered with the Central Contractor Registration database. This Request for Proposal will be issued electronically on or about 10 October 2000 at web address http://www.usarak.army.mil/doc/contracts.htm with a proposal due date on or about 9 November 2000. The SIC is 5812 -- Eating Places, Food Service, Institutional, $15,000,000 size standard.
