Y _ ARCHITECTURAL/REFRIGERATION UPGRADE COMMISSARY FACILITY AT MACDILL AFB FLORIDA. Solicitation Number F41689-00-R-0823. Bid Package should be available approximately 10 Oct 00. POC: ANITA MALDONADO; TEL: (210)671-1194, Ext 8690; FAX: (210)671-1196; AETC CONS/LGCR. Contractor will be responsible for renovation of 50,500 square feet of building area. Grocery operations and sales will remain in complete and full operation during the contract duration. The renovation includes but is not limited to replacement of the existing display cases and support equipment with new equipment; enlarge the sales area and upgrade to the new decor to include walls, floor and ceiling finishes. The lighting systems for the sales area will require upgrading to provide energy efficient systems. Also, some demolition, removal, patching and repairing of selected portions of the commissary building will be included. The existing roofing, base flashing and coping system will be replaced with new. New rooftop mount Air Handling units specially designed and constructed for commissary application will be required and installed. Estimated cost of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This acquisition is unrestricted. Estimated closing date for bids is on or about 10 Nov 00. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the RFP may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. Bid guarantee is required.
