- Description
- This proposed procurement is unrestricted, SEI 1542, $27.5 million. Estimated cost of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Work consists of the renovation of approximately 17,800 gross square feet and a new addition of 23,200 gross square feet for a total of 50,000 gross square feet. Outside utilities include domestic water, storm drainage, electrical, sewer, and gas. Grading, landscaping and parking facilities are required. Renovation of the existing building will include new, interior partitions, flooring, and finishes, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, communication wiring, and remediation of hazardous materials. Renovation of existing finishes will be required. The new building will be structural steel fram and brick masonry with concrete masonry units on a shollow foundation. Partitions, architectural finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communication wiring will be required. Construction duration 415 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. " It is recommended that District of Columbia small and disadvantaged business firms obtain a Local Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification from the Government of the District of Columbia. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Competitive proposals will be evaluated on the evaluation criteria as set forth in the solicitation package. The evaluation criteria may consists of the follwing factors: General Contractor Past Performance and Relevant Experience; Schedule; Project Management Plan; Key Personnell; Major Subcontractor Qualifications and Past Performance (1) Mechanical Subcontractor (2) Electrical Subcontractor (3) Roofing and Masonry Subcontractor. Large Business Firms are required to submit a Sub-contracting Plan with their proposal. The Sub-contracting goals are 50 % for Small Business, 15% of Small Disadvantage Business, 8% for Woman Owned Small Business 10% Hubzone.
