This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 and the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and A SEPARATE WIRRTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number RFQ N00244-00-T-1519 applies. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19 and DFAR Change Notice 80000831. The standard industrial code is 1799 and the business size standard is $7.0 Million. The agency need is for: Labor and material for the removal and installation of doors in bldgs. 28,29,30,31,32,34 BQ facilities, located at 800 Seal Beach Blvd, Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, CA. Renovation of 36 rooms doors (H 79 x W 29 )to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install new one hour fire rated door and frame/jamb. Door finish-oakwood varnish finish (varnish finish to be determined after award). Keyway to be cut and bored to specifications established by the SAFLOK Company for model SAFLOK SL2500 Classic. Install brush brass door hardware to include: Install one inch, 200 degree Viewer (peephole), Door Guard, swing bar (Dead Bolt), Kick plate, Hinges, Door closure. Reinstall mirrors on the back of each door. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Renovation of 36 bathrooms doors(H 78 x W 27 )to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install new one hour fire rated door and frame/jamb. Door finish-oakwood varnish finish (varnish finish to be determined after award). Install brush brass door hardware to include: Lever privacy lock set, Kick plate, Hinges, Door closure. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Renovation of 9 Lounge doors(H 79 x W 35 )to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install metal exterior door and aluminum frame/jamb. Commercial Store front style. Install door hardware to include: Panic hardware, Hinges, Door closure. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Renovation of three(3) office doors(H 79 x W 35 -(FD Office), H 84 x W 35 (BQ Officer), H 79 x W 35 -(BM Office))to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install solid core door and frame/jamb. Door finish-oakwood varnish finish (varnish finish to be determined after award). Install brush brass door hardware to include: Lever lock set, Kick plate, Hinges, Door closure. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Renovation of one(1) Business Center door (H 79 x W 35 ) to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install metal door and aluminum frame/jamb (smoked glass). Paint all surfaces to match exisiting. Renovation of one(1) Resource room door (H 79 x W 27 ) to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Renovation of three(3) storeroom doors (H 79 x W 29 -(Office SR), H 79 x W 27 -(Resident SR), H 80 x W 36-(Back SR))to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames. Purchase and install solid core door and frame/jamb. Door finish-oakwood varnish finish (varnish finish to be determined after award). (Resident Storeroom to be cut and bored to specifications established by the SAFLOK Company for model SAFLOK SL2500 Classic). Install brush brass door hardware to include: Lever lock set, Kick plate, Hinges, Door closure. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Renovation of 4 bathrooms doors (H 79 x W 29 ) to include: Demolition, removal and disposal of all doors and frames/jambs. Purchase and install new door and frame (includes interior Privacy door). Door finish-oakwood varnish finish (varnish finish to be determined after award). Install brush brass door hardware to include: Lever privacy lock set (Vacant/Occupied) not required on inner door: Kick plate, Hinges, Door closure. Repair wall surfaces to match existing. Paint all surfaces to match existing. Vendor shall clean and prepare walls. Patch/fill all holes, cracks, and uneven areas of walls. Float/skim coat, prime and seal all walls in preparation for paint. Vendor shall remove the existing mirror and shall guard the mirror from chipping, cracking, and/or breakage. Vendor shall re-install the government owned mirror upon completion door installation. Vendor shall submit with their quotation MSDS sheets for all chemicals, cleaners, paints, glues and other adhesives. Vendors shall be responsible for damage to hallway carpets, paint, and wall coverings. Vendors shall repair or replace any damaged areas to the satisfaction of the BH Officer. Failure on the part of the Vendor to make necessary repairs will result in the government making the necessary repairs and deducting the amount from any monies due the Vendor. Vendor shall leave the area in a neat and orderly fashion at the end of each work day. Vendor shall pick up their trash and dispose of it in the proper trash receptacle. Vendor shall be responsible for the safekeeping of all materials, equipment, and supplies during the duration of the contract. NOTE: Contractor's are encouraged to attended the Site Visit 9/21/00 at 1:00 PM. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the contract.
