Description

The U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 2, seeks bids for removal and disposal of transite pipe, suspected of containing asbestos; and replacement of existing water supply and drain pipe with new PVC pipe. This project is located at Uvalde National Fish Hatchery, Uvalde, Texas. There is approximately 7,700 linear feet of line to be removed/replaced. The price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bid, payment, and performance bonds will be required. This project is full and open competition. The invitation to bid is expected to be issued on or after October 17, 2000, with an anticipated bid opening date on or after November 16, 2000. If these dates are not met, the bid opening date will be adjusted to allow 30 days from issuance.
