Description
TACOM plans to award a single year, sole source firm fixed price contract to procure 33 each Striker vehicle systems, 29 each Mission Equipment Packages (MEP) to support the Bradley Fire Support Vehicle (BFIST), and authorized Authorized Stockage List (ASL) items in support of the Striker vehicles. The contract will also include purchase of 60,000 System Technical Support (STS) hours on a cost plus fixed fee basis. The Striker vehicle system integrates the Bradley Fire Support Vehicle (BFIST) mission equipment package (MEP) into the M1025A2 HMMWV platform supporting heavy and light fire support operations. The System Technical Support (STS) effort includes but is not limited to the following: test support and training necessary for the successful operation of Striker vehicles, the repair of delivered government furnished material (GFM), the deprocessing of Striker vehciles, redesign efforts,and product improvements. Contract options will include up to 45 additional Striker vehicles, additional ASL items, up to 60,000 additional STS hours, and up to 11 Striker vehicles and ASL items to support institutional training at Fort Sill. Systems & Electronics Incorporated (SEI) is the manufacturer of the MEP currently used to produce Striker and BFIST vehicles. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Justification: Item is available from only one source and no other type of supplies or services will satidfy agency requirements.
