Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company, Ltd (MBA), Higher Denham, Middlesex, England for the Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat (NACES) requirements for FY01 through FY05 under a base contract plus four one-year options. Approximate quantities of the following will be included in this procurement: FY01, 99 seats, 330 thermal batteries, 198 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY02, 102 seats, 286 thermal batteries, 204 pilots lower oxygen hoses, FY03, 84 seats, 354 thermal batteries, 168 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY04, 60 seats, 368 thermal batteries, 120 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY05, 102 seats, 386 thermal batteries, 204 pilots lower oxygen hoses. This sole source procurement will also include associated spare and repair parts, engineering, logistic support and technical data. MBA is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the NACES, and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience and technical data required to fill this need.
