- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC 97-16, as required. Standard Industrial Classification is 3585 with a 750 size standard. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. This is a firm-fixed price procurement using Commercial Procedures. The service required is: provide all materials, tools, labor and transportation to deliver, set-up and remove, from Shaw AFB, a 180 ton HVAC unit and supporting equipment to cool a 10,000sqft facility from 26 Sep 00 to 21 Nov 00. The contractor will be responsible to deliver, set-up and remove the HVAC units and ductwork to cool an un-insulated 50_ X 200_ facility to a temperature of 75 degrees or less. The contractor will provide ductwork along both sides of the facility to provide balanced cooling throughout the structure. 480-volt power is available without cost to the contractor. Power source is 250 ft from bldg. 1904. The contractor must provide power cables from HVAC units to transformer. Contractor shall provide a phone number for 24hr emergency support for the duration of the contract, and must be able to respond within two hours of request for service. All proposals are to include FOB destination prices. Delivery to: Bldg 1904, Shaw AFB, SC 29152. The following FAR provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation- Commercial Items, (price, technical, capability and delivery); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items (offerors must include a completed copy with offer); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status of Executive Orders- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items, DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, and 52.215-5, Facsimile Proposals. All offers are due no later than 23 Sept 2000 1:00 p.m. EST. Complete Representations and Certifications are required with submission of pricing and technical description of items being quoted.
