NIGHT VISION EQUIPMENT: THIS ACQUISITION IS CONTEMPLATED PENDING AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES. This acquisition is set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Interested offerors are requested to submit a quotation on this requirement to: 314th Contracting Squadron, 642 Thomas Avenue, Little Rock AFB AR 72099-4971, or FAX to: (501) 987-8119. Award will be made based on technical evaluation and price, with technical evaluation being significantly more important than price. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://ccr2000.com) prior to receiving award. DESCRIPTION: Item 1: (20 Each) MOUNT, HELMET PLATE ASSEMBLY EXTERNAL. Brand name or equal ITT Part Nbr. 264317-3; Helmet mounting plate assembly for 4949G Night Vision Goggle Devices must fit HGU-55/P Helmets and be compatible with currently used ITT Night Vision Goggles. Item 2: (30 Each) ADAPTER, BATTERY PACK for ITT Night Vision Goggle. Brand name or equal, ITT Part Nbr. 268462; low profile battery pack adapter must be compatible with ITT 4949G Night Vision Power Pack Assembly (Part Nbr. 268465) must use commonly found AA-size commercially available batteries; must fit Helmet HGU55P. Item 3: (220 Each) POWER PACK ASSEMBLY. (Battery Pack for ITT Night Vision Goggle). Brand name or equal, ITT Part Nbr. 268465; low profile battery pack must be compatible with ITT 4949G Night Vision Goggles and must use commonly found AA-size commercially available batteries. Must fit Helmet HGU55P. Item 4: (65 Each) KIT, MOUNTING HARDWARE for ITT Night Vision Goggle 4949G. Brand name or equal, ITT Part Nbr. 265030-3. Must fit Helmet HGU55P. F.O.B. DESTINATION: LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, ARKANSAS. COMMERCIAL WARRANTY REQUIRED.
