Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to enter into a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with Litton Systems, Inc. Laser Systems Division, 2787 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703, for: Item 0001 -- the modification of ten (10) Government-owned Mini Eye-Safe Infrared Observations Set (MELIOS) rangefinders, which will enable the rangefinders to link with the Precision Lightweight Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver (PLGR); and Item 0002 -- a quantity of sixty-six (66) non-rechargable BA-5316 batteries, Part Number 112 004 06, for the MELIOS rangefinders. All items are to be delivered by 15 December 2000 FOB Destination to Quantico Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory at Quantico Virginia. Litton Systems is the manufacturer of the MELIOS rangefinders and batteries. This procurement is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures as a synopsis/solicitation. The closing date is 27 September 2000, with an anticipated award date of 29 September 2000. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation, with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply.
