Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number 2000-Q-00208 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This is a 100 percent small business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 2819. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention requires the purchase of the following chemicals (1)SARIN, CYCLOSARIN, SOMAN, TABUN, VX O-ETHYLSARIN, AND FLUOROTABUN, (2) CD3 LABELED GB, CD3 LABELED GD, CD3 LABELED GF, CD3 LABELED O-ETHYL-SARIN, PERDEUTEROETHYL FLUOROTABUN, PERDEUTEROETHYLTABUN, CD3 VX, (3) TRIPEPTIDE CYS-PRO-PHE WITH UNLABELED HYDROXYETHYLTHIOETHYL ON CYS 1MG, (4)TRIPEPTIDE CYS-PRO-PHE WITH PER-DEUTERATED (D8) HYDROXYETHYLTHO-ETHYL ON CYS 1MG, (5) POSITIVE CONTROL ALBUMIN FROM EXPOSURE TO 0.1MM SULFUR MUSTARD 25MG, (6) POSITIVE CONTROL ALBUMIN FROM EXPOSURE TO 1UM SULFUR MUSTARD 25MG, (7) POSITIVE CONTROL ALBUMIN FROM EXPOSURE TO 0.1 MM D8 LABELED SULFUR MUSTARD 25 MG, (8) POSITIVE CONTROL ALBUMIN FROM EXPOSURE TO 1 UM D8 LABELED SULFUR MUSTARD 25 MG. It is our intention to award a firm fixed price purchase order to: The Department of Chemical Toxicology, H.P. Benschop, TNO Prins Maurits Laboratory, 2280,AA Rijswijk, The Netherlands, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations within ten days of this publication. Delivery shall be to: CDC-NCEH-Central Receiving, Building 17, Loading Dock, 4770 Buford Hwy, NE, Atlanta, GA 30341. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition (with addendum incorporating FAR 52.204-6, Contractor Identification Number Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number; FAR 52.214-34, Submission of Offers in the English Language, FAR 52.214-35, and Submission of Offers in U.S. Currency and FAR 52.215-20). A Firm Fixed Price Purchase order will be awarded to the firm offering the above listed items at the lowest overall cost to the government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with their offer (a copy of this clause may be obtained via internet at http://www.arnet.gov/far, or calling (770) 488-2684.
