Description

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is planning to negotiate a sole source contract with ADT Security Systems, Burr Ridge, IL to maintain the ADT Centrascan 600 Security Alarm System located at the VA Hospital, Hines, IL. This procurement is considered to be a sole source for the following reason: proprietary software and security codes necessary to the operation of this system are not available from other vendors and future upgrades to this system must be compatible with existing system and available to the VA. ADT provides these upgrades as part of the maintenance contract. Other sources that believe they can meet VA needs must furnish information and references to this office no later than 4:00 PM on Sept. 27, 2000.
