Description
This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-01-Q-3FA027. This RFQ will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to complete the following dockside repairs on the USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721): 1. Modify RHIB cradle and strengthen the davit supporting structure. 2. Renew and weight test shipboard davit crane (Allied Marine Crane model D5000CT). 3. Replace flight deck safety nets. Place of Performance: Charleston, SC. Performance period: October 23 to November 24, 2000. Specifications to be provided on request. A non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Work will commence and be funded in the next fiscal year, 2001, accordingly, FAR clause 52.232-18, entitled, _Availability of Funds_ will be included in the solicitation. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price, Required Delivery Date. The proposed solicitation listed here will be awarded as part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
