Description

Subject to the availability of funds, it is the intent of the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS)Contracting Activity to award a firm fixed price contract for maintenance of its' electrical power distribution system. The contractor would be responsible for providing all supervision, labor, tools, equipment and travel to perform: Scheduled Comprehensive Distribution Maintenance Service to include: visual inspections (noting damage and leaks); ground resistance testing; oil analysis; thermographic inspection and cleaning of 5 indoor sub-station type transformers and switch gear and 22 pad-mount transformers of various sizes at the VANTHCS Energy Center (Bldg 70), Spinal Cord Injury Center (SCI) and other buildings; and to provide Emergency Restoration Service on all high-voltage equipment on an as needed basis. The contract shall be for a Basic period of 11 months with two options that allows the Government to unilaterally extend the contract for a period of 12 months each. Without appropriate modification, the entire contract, to include options shall not exceed 36 months. The solicitation shall be issued as an unrestricted procurement of commercial item services under SIC code 8999. Those interested parties who are able to provide the requested services are encouraged to submit a proposal along with completed FAR Provision 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications". Offers must be received on or before 2:00 PM Dallas, TX local time on 10/12/2000.
