- STATEMENT OF WORK CAT OLIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (R.E.I C001 C17 INATOR 2. 1. The Religious Education (RE.) Coordinator will coordinate wit] Catholic Chaplain. Qualifications: A. ' Must have at least three years experience in a Catholic R Education program. I, B. ' Must be interviewed by the Senior Catholic Chaplain. C. ', Must provide qualifications prior to an interview with tt Chaplain. D. I Must be willing to work in an ecumenical environment. E.: , Must be actively involved in the Base Chapel program continuity within the chapel community. 3. Responsibilities: A.I, Responsible for all aspects of Religious Education in th Program including, but not limited to, pre-school, elem RC1rA, and pre-sacramental. B.: Maintains regularly scheduled weekday hours of avail of availability (no less than twenty hours per week, four will be determined by the Coordinator and the Senior These hours of availability do not constitute total work During these hours of availability: Coordinates with the Senior Catholic Chaplain t directing of the Catholic R. Prepares weekly attendance records per AFI's for total RE. enrollment. a.) Gathers enrollment cards and announces gistration process (dates, times and places). b.) Conducts an orderly process for registration in which parents are involved in learning about the cope and sequence of the year's educational plan. I S. Responsible for helping parishioners and staff members plan, implement and evaluate educational programs a ropriate to their needs. I 6. Focuses particular attention on Pre-Sacramental i truction (Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation) for both students and parents. I 7. Responsible for curriculum development and sch duling. 8. Coordinates calendar of R.E. events with the Sen or Catholic Chaplain. i 9, Serves as consultant to the catholic Parish Counc 1 on R. E. activities and goal achievements. 10. Serves as resource person for all parish groups (here needed) especially with the Liturgy Committee and RC 11, Plans and implements R. E. Programs for grades Preschool through Twelve. 12. Maintains adequate communication with the by means of i staff meetings, bulletins and newsletters. I, 13. Requests funds, facilities and equipment to adeq tely perform the duties in accordance with the chapel guidelines. I I 14. Prepares a Teacher's Guide. 15. Recruits for volunteer teachers and provides for bstitute teachers as needed. I II C. Performs duties on Sundays from 0730 to 1230, Septerrm at the Chapel Center. During these hours: 1. Supervises, assists and monitors the entire Pzogr overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the Cat and volunteers. E.
