Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is being issued as an online Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Potential offerors may access the online RFQ via the following NASA link: http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=64 The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-19. NASA/SSC plans to acquire (2) each 6,000 PSI Cryogenic pumps with the option to purchase (1) additional 6,000 PSI Cryogenic pump dependent upon funds availability. Work shall be performed in accordance with specification 200GK-GM16. This procurement is being conducted under full and open competition. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the offeror providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the Government's requirement. A firm fixed price commercial contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR part 12 and 13.5. Delivery shall be made to Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by 4:30 p.m. CDT on Monday, October 2, 2000, and may be mailed or faxed to Jason Edge, NASA/SSC, Code DA40/Bldg. 1100/Rm. 255C, Stennis Space Center, MS, 39529-6000, or FAX 228-688-1141, include solicitation number, FOB destination to Marshall Space Flight Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if appplicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), Cage Code, identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
