Description
The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), Directorate of Medical Materiel has amended solicitation #SP0200-00-R-2500 covering the selection of a Primary Supplier and a Secondary Suppier of pharmaceutical products for Government medical treatment facilities in our European Region. Amendment #0001 contains the following information: REFERENCED SOLICITATION IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: 1. Footnote #3 covering the exercise of Options #1 through #4 (see line items #0001BA through #0001JD in the Schedule of Supplies/Services) is revised to read as follows: "Exercise of this Option may be made at any time during the term of the contract with the concurrence of the appropriate Military Service. If the Option is exercised, the Government will issue a formal contract modification implementing the Option and the contractor's applicable distribution fee and additional charges, if any. If this Option is exercised, the expiration date for the Option will be the same expiration date as that cited for the basic underlying contract, regardless of when the Option is exercised. If this Option is exercised concurrently with the award of the basic contract, the entire amount of any additional charge would be payable to the contractor upon submission of an invoice to the Government. If this Option is exercised after award of the basic contract, any additional charge would be prorated on a monthly basis over the remaining term of the contract. For example, if the contract cited an additional charge of $20,000 for the full 2-year Option period, the monthly charge would be $833/month rounded to the nearest dollar. If the option were not exercised until the 5th month of the contract, the contractor would be entitled for prorated payments from the 5th thru the 24th month of the basic contract or a total of 20 months for $16,660. The additional charge would be payable to the contractor upon submission of an invoice to the Government." 2. On Page 33 of the solicitation, paragraph (xi) Surge Cost of Coverage, subparagraph 1 delete the last two sentences: "The effective date...November 11,2002". 3. On Page 54 of the solicitation, the Note following paragraph (7) is revised to read as follows: "Note: Exercise of the options covering the Pre-Positioned Stock, Preplanned Surge and AEF requirements may be made at any time during the term of the contract with the concurrence of the appropriate Military Service. If one or more of these options is exercised, the Government will issue a formal contract modification implementing the appropriate option and the contractor's distribution fee and additional charge, if any." 4.
