Description
The postage meters for this acquisition shall be compatible with the present Pitney Bowes mail processing equipment. Currently, the Coast Guard owns and maintains over 400 pieces of Pitney Bowes mailing equipment and leases 400 Pitney Bowes penalty postage meter. The Coast Guard must relocate mailing equipment as mission requirements change; therefore, it is mandatory that all mailing equipment throughout the Coast Guard. The contractor shall provide all necessary management, supervision, personnel, labor, materials and equipment (except for government furnished items) required to install penalty postage meters at 94 Coast Guard locations throughout the united states. See Note 22. This proposed procurement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Pitney Bowes, 7630 Little River Turnpike, Annadale, VA, 22003-2610. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities with a Notice of Intent. However, this is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Numbered Note 22.
