Description

This notice corrects Submission No. 498431 and Submission No 498767 to reflect changes in the description. This project involves the storm proofing of nine roads within the perimeter of the Manter Fire and the rehabilitation of one road which was damaged during fire suppression efforts. The total road mileage involved is 41.9 miles. The work includes replacement of culverts, installation of metal end sections on existing culverts, construction or reconstruction of rolling dips and water bars, installation of riprap at culvert and other drainage feature outlets, and other road rehabilitation and drainage work. The contract is scheduled to be completed in 60 calendar days. Location of roads: from Ridgecrest, CA travel north on Hwy 395 to county road 152B (Nine Mile Canyon), then northwest uphill 25 miles to Forest Service Road (FSR) 22S05 (Sherman Pass Rd). Continue north on FSR 22S05 for 8.5 miles to the intersection with FSR 21S32 (Mahogany RD) on the left. Estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Estimated start work date is Oct 20, 2000.
