HELMET LINERS: THIS ACQUISITION IS CONTEMPLATED PENDING AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES. This acquisition is set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Interested offerors are requested to submit a quotation on this requirement to: 314th Contracting Squadron, 642 Thomas Avenue, Little Rock AFB AR 72099-4971, or FAX to: (501) 987-8119. Award will be made based on technical evaluation and price, with technical evaluation being significantly more important than price. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://ccr2000.com) prior to receiving award. DESCRIPTION: Item 1: HELMET LINER (37 Each). BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (Zetaliner Part Nbr. 95145A) 5/8 inch, Styroliner internal measurement 14-inches from front-to-back. Inside material (touching hed) Orthonice. The outside material touching helmet is Velsap. Foam interior is Confor Pal. Foam conforms to head without cutting off the blood circulation. Must be cool, washable, wear resistant, self-wicking, and lightweight. Item 2: HELMET LINER (50 Each). BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (Zetaliner Part Nbr. 95144A) 1/2-inch, Styroliner internal measurement 14-inches from front-to-back. Inside material (touching head) Orthonice. The outside material touching helmet is Velsap. Foam interior is Confor Pal. Foam conforms to head without cutting off the blood circulation. Must be cool, washable, wear resistant, self-wicking, and lightweight. Item 3: HELMET LINER (390 Each). The outside material touching helmet is Velsap. Foam interior is Conform Pal. Foam conforms to hed without cutting off the blood circulation. Must be cool, washable, wear resistant, self-wicking and lightweight. Item 5: EAR CUSHION. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (Softseal/hush kit combo, Part Nbr. 28118). Earl seal and insulationkit in one. Improves impact safety, noise attentuation, eliminates pain. Lightweight (3.2 ounches), comes as 2-pieces, hook-and-loop fastens to inside of helmet. F.O.B. DESTINATION: LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, ARKANSAS. COMMERCIAL WARRANTY REQUIRED.
