Description

Federal Prison Industries, Inc., intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Requirement Type Contract for Zippers. The period of performance shall be three (3) years, one (1) base year and two (2) option years if exercised. Delivery is FOB Destination MCC Miami, FL. Delivery: First delivery will be due within 45 days after receipt of the order. Specifications shall be as follows: Line Item 0001 -- ZIP0069, BRASS,L22"BLK#385, Est. Qty., 25,000; Line 0002 -- ZIP0070, BRASS,L23"BLK#385, Est. Qty., 25,000; Line Item 0003 -- ZIP0071, BRASS,L24"BLK#385, Est. Qty., 60,000; Line Item 0004 -- ZIP0072, BRASS,L25",BLK#385, Est. Qty., 50,000; Line Item 0005 -- ZIP0073, BRASS,L27",BLK#385, Est. Qty., 10,000; Line Item 0006 -- ZIP0095, ZIPPER,BRASS,L22",BLK#385, Est. Qty., 2,000; Line Item 0007 -- ZIP0096, ZIPPER,BRASS,L23",BLK#385, Est. Qty., 4,500; Line Item 0008 -- ZIP0097, ZIPPER, BRASS,L24",BLK#385, Est. Qty., 8,000; Line Item 0009 -- ZIP0098, ZIPPER, BRASS,L25.5"BLK#385, Est. Qty., 5,000; Line Item 0010 -- ZIP0099, ZIPPER, BRASS,L27"BLK#385, Est. Qty., 3,000. This requirement is domestic only and all or none. Required Specifications: All prospective vendors (with the exception of the current supplier), will submit bid samples for one (1) twenty four (24) inch black and one (1) twenty four (24) inch blue zipper to Pete Diaz, at UNICOR, 15801 SW 137th Avenue, Miami, FL 33177-1297. Samples must be received prior to bid closing. The award will be based on the Best Value to the Government. The Evaluation Factors are: Past Performance, Specifications and Price. NO PHONE REQUEST WILL BE HONOR. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued 09/25/00. All interested parties shall retrieve a copy of the solicitation from UNICOR web: www.unicor.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered.
