Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . NASA/MSFC plans to acquire: 1. SPECTROFLOUROMETER ENHANCEMENT/UPGRADE NSN=6650 P/N=SLM8100 UPGRADE SUPPLY SOURCE= INCLUDES ELECTRONICS MODERIZATION AND SIMPLIFICATION,HARDWARE MODIFICATION OF OPTICS INTERFACES, ADDITION OF OLIS PHOTOMETER SYSTEM, TERMINAL BOX,OLIS CONTROL UNIT, AND SPECTROFLUORIMETRY OPERATING SYSTEM, PLUS CONTROLLING PC SYSTEM. ALSO INCLUDES CLEANING, REALIGNMENT, AND REFURBISHING OF THE EXISTING OPTICAL SYSTEM. QUANTITY: 1 EA 2. P/N=INSTALLATION SUPPLY SOURCE= INSTALLATION OPERATOR TRAINING FOR ITEM 1 ON-SITE. QUANTITY: 1 EA 3. NSN=6685 P/N=THERMAL CONTROL SUPPLY SOURCE= TEMPERATURE CONTROL MODULE FOR ITEM 1. INCLUDES CFC FREE COMPUTER CONTROLLED REFRIGERATED BATH/CIRCULATOR, FOR TEMP. CONTROL FROM -26 TO 200C, WITH +- 0.01C STABILITY AND ACCURACY, PLUS REMOTE SENSOR FOR CONTROL AT THE CUVETTE, PLUS SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT FOR THE SPECTROSCOPY OPERATING SYSTEM, PLUS CIRCULATING COIL ASSEMBLY.
