Description

Through modeling and simulation the contractor shall develop a virtual design for the Ground Standoff Mine Detection System (GSTAMIDS) Block 1 Program Definition and Risk Reduction (PDRR) phase leveraging past and on-going efforts including GSTAMIDS Block 0 Engineering Manufacturing and Development (EMD) mine detection sensors, mechanical and marking equipment; Mine Hunter/Killer Advanced Technology Demonstration (MH/K ATD) mine neutralization technology; GSTAMIDS Block 1 Quadrupole Resonance sensor technology; GSTAMIDS Block 1 vehicle-options from Vehicle Study 2000; and Standard Robotic System (SRS). The program will consist of engineering analysis and trade studies; virtual design development; and, virtual design evaluation. The contractor will not be required to physically build a prototype GSTAMIDS Block 1 system.
