Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Protel Services Inc, 4000 Henry Grace Fwy, Wichita Falls TX under Simplified Purchase Procedures and FAR Part 12 using Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The Government's requirement is for programming services that will provide an enhancement to Protel Services Inc.'s ProCall 1, call accounting systems software. Protel Services Inc currently has a share-in-revenue contract with Air Force Non-appropriated Funds Acquisition Office to provide telephone services to Air Force lodging facilities world-wide. The required enhancement to Protel's proprietary call accounting software will add the feature of assigning dynamic Personal Identification Number (PIN) for each guest staying in a shared room at AF lodging facilities in order to ensure phone billing to the proper guest account. This announcement is not a request for proposals or quotations nor is there a solicitation available so telephone requests for a solicitation will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but responses will be used to determine if a comparable source or sources are available to provide a more advantageous solution to the Government. Responses to this notice must be accompanied with a detailed description of the capabilities to provide a more advantageous solution. A determination not to solicit or compete this requirement, based on responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, a purchase will be awarded to Protel Services Inc. without any further notice by 27 Sep 00.
