Description

This is a Sources Sought synopsis. This is not a solicitation. This sources sought synopsis requests information needed by the Department of Defense (DoD) prior to the release of any potential solicitation. Details follow (please read the entire synopsis). Offerors must be able to adhere to the requirments outlined in the body of this document and reply to any question herein. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Naval Inventory Control Point -- Mechanicsburg is seeking sources capable of providing repair/ refurbishment and/ or manufacture of approximately 1800 Solenoid Valves (NSN: 7E-4810-01-056-1593, P/N: 639AS1506) over a period of 5 years (period of time(s) to be adjusted to requirements). This item is utilized in the guidance and control section (GCS) of the AIM-9 Missile (Sidewinder). The potential repair/ manufacturing facility must adhere to the requirements of the technical data package (TDP) inclusive of the following: Contractor qualifications (pre-award survey), First Article Testing, Production Lot Testing, clean room capability and all other applicable Mil-Stds (129, 130, 1246C and 45208).
