Description

The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis software support and updates for Matlab proprietary licenses from The MathWorks Inc., 24 Prime Park Way, Natick, MA 01760-1500. The MathWorks is the developer, designer and manufacturer of this software and holds proprietary rights in data in providing support of Matlab software. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 7371 with a size standard of $18.0 million. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract for a 12-month period ending 30 September 2001. FOB Destination shall apply. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis/solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written quotation will not be used. The quotation number is N00178-01-Q-1001 and is a Request for Quotation. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote to the attention of SD113 at (540) 653-7088 which shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. This procurement is DO priority rated. Offer is due 27 September 2000 no later than 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 30 September 2000. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation, with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply.
