Description

A/E Services are sought to access changes to the existing Cardiac Cath suite of rooms and utilities for new state of the art digital equipment. Changes to the rooms and utilities will be accomplished by a construction project to alter the rooms and utilities to allow the installation of the new equipment. Knowledge of hospital design, Cardiac Cath equipment, utilities, space needs, construction administration, and equipment installation is required. The A/E must have a working knowledge of ARCHIBUS CAFM facility management software, Autocad 2000, and Microsoft Project in order to interface with existing VAMC Engineering Systems. The AE must have sufficient background in the design of the project for the required changes to the rooms and utilities. Capable A/E teams that desire consideration are required to submit two copies of SF-254 & 255s not later than 10-23-00 to the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA SLC Healthcare System, 500 Foothill Blvd, Salt Lake City, Utah 84148. The Reference number is #660-053-00, Project #660-01-002-S. The selected firm will be required to respond in person at the Salt Lake City VAMC site within 6 hours for any services required under the contract. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Criteria to be evaluated by the evaluation board: 1. Professional Qualifications and experience of the firm. 2. Experience and professional qualifications of the firm's staff to be assigned to the project. 3. Overall performance record of the firm and analysis of the firms current workload. The anticipated cost of the construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The AE fees are anticipated to be between $25,000 and $50,000. This acruisition is set aside for a Small Emerging Business -- Size Standard 2.0 Million -- NAICS #541310
