Description

The USCG MLCP proposes to contract, for Repairs to USCGC HAMILTON, a 378' high endurance cutter. Work will be accomplised at Naval Base, 32nd St, San Diego, CA, during the period of 16 Jan through 9 March 2001. Work will include; Auxiliary machinery room #1 deck repair, joiner door renewal, main diesel engine exhaust stack uptakes cleaning, ship's service diesel generator exhaust stack uptakes cleaning, tanks clean and inspect, main diesel engine cooler piping modifications, closed circuit television, forepeak tank vent piping replacement, steam and condensate valve overhaul, compressed air receivers clean and inspect and hydro, incinerator & sludge tank installation, oily water separator discharge, ammunition hoist level 2 inspect & repair, and temporary services. An IFB (Invitation For Bid) will be issued, in accordance with the SBCDP OOA 17 Oct 2000. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises, to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivabler financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
