Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Diagnostic Imaging, Albuquerque, NM for the yearly maintenance and repair of a LORAD Stereoguide DSM and two LORAD MIII Mammo Units for a period of 12 months beginning 1 Oct 2000 through 30 Sep 2001. This is a sole source procurement due to the proprietary nature of the software used in this equipment. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used on other than full and open competition under the authority of 10.U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is subject to availability of Fiscal Year 2001 funding. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
