Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Center for Acquisition and Logistics (SOAL), Directorate of Procurement has a requirement for ammunition needs as follows: DODIC NOMENCLATURE Z208 9 X 18 MM Makarov and Z210 12.7 X108 MM Unlinked DODIC Z215. This request is for commercial off the shelf items in accordance with FAR Part 12. The annual estimated requirement for the ammunition 9mm is 19,360 rounds/12.7mm is 98,000 rounds. USSOCOM intends to award a five (5) year requirements type contract. Offerors shall be prepared to comply with DFARS Part 223.370, Safety precautions for ammunition and explosives. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3482 Small Arms Ammunition, Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees; and 3483 Ammunition, Except for Small Arms, Business Size Standard is 1,500 employees. USSOCOM intends to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) on the Interagency Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) on or about 13 October 2000. The URL for IBOP is: https://abop.monmouth.army.mil/socom.nsf. Industry must register to access the site. Proposals shall be due fifteen (15) days from the date the RFP is issued and should be posted on the IBOP. This solicitation will be an unrestricted competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive solicitation, contract awards, or payments.
