Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires three additional Jet Engine Test Instrumentation (JETI) pre-production units currently being procured under contract number N68335-00-C-0234. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the modification with Racal Instruments Inc., 4 Goodyear St., Irvine, CA 92618-2002. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these pre-production units, as they are the sole designer, manufacturer, and integrator of the system at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
