- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, requires the services of General Physics Federal Systems, Inc., Mystic, Connecticut as a sole source in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source and Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A Service Type "M" Contract with Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) provisions will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The requirement is sole source because this is a follow-on to prior contracts dealing with the use of the unique Advanced Integrated Maintenance Support Systems (AIMSS) Version 3.2.1 software, which is used to support the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) program. This effort requires a Technical Writer/Editor I who has the following experience: (1) 5 years of experience in developing electronic technical manuals in government format (2) 3 years developing technical manuals using the AIMSS authoring software (3) Familiarity with AN/WSQ-9 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) structure. (Includes the AN/WSQ-9 parts database) (4) Experienced at linking AIMSS hyperlinks to external programs (5) Experienced in submarine operations and shipboard procedures (6) Access (technical interface and software upgrades) with the original designer/developers of the AIMSS software Also, General Physics Federal Systems, Inc. currently employs the personnel who have historically been used in similar IETM efforts using the AIMSS software. The period of performance will be from mid October 2000 to 30 September 2001. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 8711; $20 million. Note 22 applies.
