Description

The United States Department of Agriculture, National Finance Center, intends to issue a sole source award under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to EMC Corporation for software/hardware maintenance in support of Symmetrix 5500 and Symmetrix ICDA for a base year and one optional renewal year. This is a sole source purchase because of the proprietary nature of the software/hardware used in this system. No solicitation is available. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested parties may express their interest to the Contracting Officer by the due date of this notice of intent either by e-mail, conventional mail or facsimile at 504-255-5527.
