This procurement is unrestricted and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7379. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) intends to solicit proposals for support services in support of NIMA's Computer to Plate System (CTPS). The goal of the CTPA is to migrate traditional printing methodologies into digital-based printing. Digital methods allow advantages in many ways, most notably in cost, size and time considerations. The CTPS is a full scale networked computer-to-plate system, which includes scanners, higher-end workstations, servers, digital proofers, digital image setters, digital archive system, input/output devices, and associated software. NIMA needs a contractor to support operations and maintenance, hardware and software maintenance to include upgrades and integration testing. NIMA envisions that the current configuration of the CTPS is subject to fluctuation and change as the Government sees fit. Place of performance is Arnold, Missouri at the government site. Period of performance is 2 January 2001 -- 31 December 2001 and two option years. NIMA intends to solicit proposals on a full and open competition basis and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract to a contractor or contractor team that have been evaluated and determined to provide the best value to the Government. All on-site contractor personnel must be in possession of the requisite Department of Defense DOD) Top Secret Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance and briefings prior to accessing any classified portion of the system. Offerors will be ineligible for award if not registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
