Description

Firm fixed price purchase order contract period from 1 October 2000 through 31 September 2001. Contractor shall animal caretaker services seven days per week. Responsible for husbandry of animal species to include but not limited to mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, sheep, goats, and swine. Supports the needs of a population of animals that approximates 400. Accomodates the sanitary maintenance of approximately 30,000 square feet of animal facilties, including indoor housing and outside cage runs. Certification of training in the laboratory animal field by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) is required. Position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with IPTE (AFL-CIO). This is a combined synopsis/soliciation done in accordance with FAR Part 12.6 for commercial items. In order to submit an offer, potential offer's must request a copy of the request for quotation. Requests must be by fax at 210 221 5402. No telephone requests will be accepted. Solicitation shall also be posted on FACNET.
