- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC Acquisition Center and the Product Manager for Paladin/FAASV has a requirement for performance of the services of a Prime Contractor for Electronic Systems Technical Support (ESTS) for the M109A6 (Paladin) and the M992 (Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle FAASV). A DRAFT Solicitation, DAAE30-00- R-0215, was previously issued and interested contractors submitted written comments and participated in a two hour oral presentation at Picatinny Arsenal in accordance with the Advisory Multi-step Process described at FAR 15.202. This amendment is doing three things: 1. Announcing the availability of questions asked by participating contractors and the answers to those questions, 2. announcing the availability of a CD with the Paladin/FAASV Technical Data Package (TDP) and a CD with the first contract task, and 3. announcing the opportunity to have a Hands-On site visit to see the Paladin vehicle and to participate in a presentation of information on the FAASV. Site visits will be for a maximum of four hours and will take place at Picatinny Arsenal. The available dates for the site visits are from October 16th through October 20th, 2000 morning or afternoon. Requests for the Questions and Answers, TDPs, or site visits should be made to Allan Heller, Contract Specialist, Picatinny Arsenal by email at aheller@pica.army.mil. Please include your company name, point of contact, email address, and (if applicable) the names of the personnel participating in the site visit. The time slots for the site visits will be assigned on a first requested-first served basis. The US. Army will not reimburse contractors for any material, time or travel and living or other incurred expenses associated with participation in the site visit. The Government is interested in prime contractors only. Contractors seeking subcontracting opportunities should NOT respond to this DRAFT Solicitation. Because of potential access requirements for non-exportable information (COMSEC and Nuclear Survivability Criteria) participation by foreign contractors is not permitted. Any foreign Nationals working for U.S.Contractors must apply for visit clearance via their Embassy to HQDA.
