- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items = prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with = additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE = ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION = WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Responses shall reference "Request for Quotation No. DE-RQ04-2001AL66684". This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This requirement is a 100% Small = Business Set Aside utilizing the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 2819 = with a corresponding qualifying size standard of 1,000 employees (indicates maximum allowed for a concern, including its affiliates, to be = considered small). This will be a Firm-Fixed price solicitation. The DOE-AL = intends to acquire a competitive price on the following item: Line Item One = (1): Delivery and application of a dust suppressant chemical (magnesium = chloride or equivalent), on a roadway location identified as Middle Mountain = Road at the United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, Arizona. The roadway = is 17 miles in length and 24' in width and consists of gravel and it = requires a dust suppressant to reduce dust and provide a safe training = environment. The delivery and application of the dust suppressant is approximately 225,280 square yards. Material Safety Data Sheet(s) is required = regarding the product used. Survey of roadway will be made by contractor prior = to application to ensure surface has been prepared correctly by the = requiring activity. Dust suppressant should last six (6) months to one (1) year. Point of contact will be provided for coordination. Delivery and application shall be made on or before October 23, 2000. The delivery = and acceptance point is United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, = Arizona. Delivery and application shall be FOB Destination. Only those Offerors = who can furnish the items will be considered, no substitute items will be accepted. Award will be made based on the lowest evaluated price.
