Description

This is a combined snopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) number N0023200Q0030. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-19. The FSC code for this solicitation is 6910. It is the intent of the solicitation to be awarded sole sourced to the original equipment manufacturer. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. This is a request for the following products manufactured by Laerdal and sold exclusively by Medical Plastics Laboratory: CLIN #0001 -- Three (3) each of #SIM-1000 SimMan universal patient simulator, portable. To be used for education of both typical & non-typical difficult airways, ECG recognition & identification, difibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, interpretation & treatment modalities of lethal and malignant cardiac related situations, obtaining of blood pressures, and the auscultation, recognition & treatment processes of a variety of heart, breath, bowel & vocal sounds. Comes complete with a Windows based interactive software package. The operator uses either a hand held wireless remote or the computer keyboard to operate & control the manikin.; CLIN #0002 -- Three (3) each of #SIM-4030 trauma modules; CLIN #0003 -- Three (3) each of #100-3187L male urinary-genital system; CLIN #0004 -- Three (3) each of #100-3188L female urinary-genital system; CLIN #0005 -- Three (3) each of #1005035 SimMan power pack. Includes a battery pack to supply power to the SimMan link box, a valve system for portable air and CO2 tanks, and a carrying case that can be attached to any standard gurney; and CLIN #0006 -- Three (3) each of SIM-PC computer. Equipped withthe following minimum specifications: 400 mhz processor, 4 gb hard drive, 128 mb of RAM, 8 MB video card, 24x CD ROM, & sound card. One each of the six (6) clins will be shipped to the Naval Hospital Sigonella Italy, Naval Hospital Naples Italy, and the Naval Hospital Jacksonville FL.
