- Addendums/Changes to above SOW Para. 2 _ The staff offices get carpeted even though the partitions are not shown on the drawing. Install carpet in the office in the corner of the infant room. DO NOT install carpet in the bathroom next to the staff lounge. Recarpet 2/3 of Preschool 2 A/B room as is presently carpeted. Para. 3 _ The floor covering and carpet will be reversed in Preshool 3 as stated above. See the up-to-date drawing. In Pre-school 3 room, Ms. Haynie, 963-4366, said to estimate the 2 bath rooms with and with out new floor covering. If its not possible, don_t worry about it. If funds allow for this to be done, it will be added. In preschool 3 room, install carpet over the existing floor covering. A transition strip will be installed for the new carpet to the floor covering. Para 5 _ Replace the 6_ wide metal strip with the industry standard rubber strip to match the color of the cove base. Hill Blvd, Charleston AFB, SC 29404-5021 DESCRIPTION: CARPET TILE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION AND RUBBER TILE INSTALLATION FOR BUILDING 323-(HOUSING MANAGEMENT OFFICE) REFERENCE: W/O 21041 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The resulting award is set aside for small business set-aside program and/or hub zone. The SIC is 7299 with a $5 million dollar size standard. Recommended brands are suggested, if an _or equal_ brand is proposed, specifications are required. It shall be justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and 6.304. CARPET TILE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION AND RUBBER TILE INSTALLATION FOR BUILDING 323-HOUSING MANAGEMENT OFFICE REFERENCE: W/O 21041 STATEMENT OF WORK: 1. Remove presently installed glued down carpet in rooms as indicated on available upon request floor plan. The walls shall be protected from any damage during removal and installation. The existing carpet that is removed becomes the property of the Contractor and shall be disposed of properly off of Charleston Air Force Base. 2. Furnish and install approximately 280 square yards of carpet tile using the manufacture_s recommended adhesive. This amount of carpet tile represents actual carpeted floor areas, not the amount of carpet tile to order. The contractor shall furnish and extra four (4) boxes of carpet tile for future use.  CARPET TILE BRAND: SHAW  CARPET TILEPATTERN: IMAGES II SQ (18_X18_)  CARPET TILE COLOR: CARNIVAL # 60470 3. Furnish and install approximately 150 square feet of rubber floor tile following the manufacture instructions. The contractor shall be responsible for ordering the proper amount of the floor covering.  TILE COVERING BRAND: FLEXCO  TILE STYLE: RLT-3  TILE COLOR: CHARCOAL 4. Furnish and install 4_H cove base. The color will match the existing cove base. 5. All adhesives for glue down installation for carpet will be non-flammable and alkali resistant. 6. Vinyl edging and stripping will match the color of the rubber floor tile and will be used in all areas where floor covering material changes or at termination edges of carpet. 7. Furniture moving will be accomplished by the contractor. The following will be accomplished by government employees: remove and re-installing all computer related equipment; clear off all desk, book shelves, and work areas; and desk and filling cabinets will be emptied in order for contractor to move them. 8. Time for carpet installation will be scheduled with Ms. Debbie Carlton, 566-3860, and she will coordinate with the Contractor and government employees when carpet is being installed. The Civil Engineer POC is Mr. Daryl Lareau, 963-5009. 9. Contractor shall protect all government property in and around the job site. Clean up will be performed immediately after all work is accomplished. SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR AM 11:00 ON 25 SEP 00, WITH A PRE MEETING IN BUILDING 503 (CONTRACTING SQUADRON) FOLLOWED BY SITE VISIT AT BUILDING 323.
