Description

DESC: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION, SOLICITATION CRMB-0-126. USDA, OCFO, National Finance Center (NFC) located in New Orleans, LA is generating this Request for Information (RFI) synopsis for market research and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. There will be no contract award resulting from this synopsis. The NFC is presently exploring solutions for consolidation of three networks (Voice, Data, and Video Teleconferencing) into a single network infrastructure. The expected outcome of the Architecture Voice, Video, and Integrated Data (AVVID) project is a solution having one infrastructure support all three technologies for the NFC. The NFC seeks a technical solution and publish price information for the Voice, Video, and Local/Wide Area Network Services which include: voice services for approximately 3000 stations, automated call distribution system with 50 groups for voice services and 2000 agents, voice trunking to long distance carriers for FTS2001 services, computer telephony integration solution, teleconferencing and video conferencing solution to video conferencing rooms and the desktop over IP/ATM solution, voice mail solution for 3000 stations, and E-mail and automated fax solution. The NFC currently performs payroll and accounting functions for over 500,000 government customers so the proposed solution must include redundancy with automatic switch over to eliminate single of failure and/or downtime. It is requested that the response to this RFI include a description of any and all equipment necessary to satisfy the above capabilities, including drawing concept diagrams, operational narrative and pricing. Interested persons may identify to the notice. The NFC will use the information obtained from this synopsis to understand the capabilities of the marketplace for this task.
