- Description
- Furnish all personnel, services, materials, supplies, plant and testing equipment, necessary to provide Quality Assurance testing. A wide variety of tests shall be performed for concrete materials, embankment materials, batched concrete, and the requirements of the construction contract(s). Laboratory testing will include, but not be limited to the following; Specific Gravity Determinations, Concrete Compressive Strengths, Slumps and Air Entrainment, Concrete Yield, Flexural Strength, Water Quality, Gradation/Sieve Analysis/Finess Modulus, Atterberg Limits, Soil Classifications, Compaction/Proctors, In-Place Densities (either sandcone or a combination of nuclear and sandcone), Moisture Contents, and Relative Densities. Test results shall be recorded and tacked by computer program and input into the Resident Management System (RMS) as appropriate. Required testing shall also involve all related work such as stripping and curing of concrete samples, collection of soil, rock, coarse and fine aggregate samples, preparation of samples, etc. Performing Quality Assurance inspections may be required to include, but not be limited to the following: Foundation preparation and cleanup, Concrete batch plant operations, Placement of concrete formwork, reinforcement, waterstop, and misc. embedds, Placement of concrete, finishing, form removal and curing, Installation of grounding, power and signal systems, Construction of an Equipment Building, installation of equipment and lines, Field assembly, sandblasting, painting and installation of tainter gates and associated structures and equipment, Safety measures by the Construction Contractor in all phases of the work, Environmental measures and compliance actions by the Construction Contractor, All systems testing and proveout, Interim, Prefinal and final inspections. Numbered Note 1 applies. The SIC codes for this acquisition are 8734 / 8748 and the small business size standard is $5,000,000.00. Solicitation will be on Compact Disk (CD-Rom) and provided free of charge. The solicitation will not be available in paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when determined to be in the Government's best interest. All documents required for the offer submittal, including amendments to the offer submittal, shall be paper medium. Electronic medium for submittal of offer will not be allowed.
