Description

Solicitation N00421-00-Q-0687 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with AAR Skydnye for the item listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 1 LT maintenance on Drop in communications packages (DICP) time and materials contract per Statement of Work. (Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements). AAR Skydnye is the sole manufacturer and distributor of DICPs. AAR Skydnye is also the sole provider of all technical support services for all of its hardware and software products. Award is expected on 28 September 2000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by 27 September 2000. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
