- Description
- The contractor shall provide one (1) full emergency ambulance crew, which consists of two (2) New Jersey state certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)-Defibrillation or nationally certified EMT-Basics for emergency patient response and transport services 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, to include all holidays. The contractor will provide the services for McGuire AFB, NJ, Fort Dix, NJ, and the Federal Prison on Fort Dix, NJ. The contractor_s responsibility also includes, but is not limited to, emergency EMT response and patient transport, in-flight emergency response, participate in 305th Air Mobility Wing and Military Treatment Facility exercises, and patient ground transport to other medical facilities. The Government will furnish UHF radios, 2 fully stocked and functional ambulances, all special medical equipment required to include, but not limited to, portable suction devices, automatic external defibrillator, portable and on-board oxygen systems, and all medical supplies needed to perform patient related duties. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small business sources and has a standard industrial classification code of 8099, with a dollar value of $5M. Price, technical capability, and past performance will be the factors employed in the evaluation of the request for quote (RFQ). The performance period includes a base year, and three option years. Performance is expected to begin 01 November 2000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 September 2000. All responsible sources may submit a RFQ, which will be considered by the Agency. The solicitation package must be downloaded from the Electronic Posting System on the Internet _ NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL BE MAILED, FAXED, OR E-MAILED.
