Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to issue a modification to Contract N00024-98-C-6385 with Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Inc of Syracuse, New York to provide for Engineering Services for the Multi-Lined Towed Array. The services and supplies to be provided include the labor, material, and support necessary to furnish Engineering Services in support the Multi-Line Towed Array (MLTA). The Multi-Line Towed Array MLTA (formerly called High Gain Multi-Line Towed Array (HGMLTA)) testbed is being developed by Lockheed Martin, Ocean, Radar and Sensor Systems located in Syracuse New York to demonstrate at sea the performance necessary to provide a high gain passive acoustic sensor to the submarine fleet. The Navy proposes to award the modification to Lockheed Martin on a sole-source basis. See Numbered Note 22.****
