Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego intends to procure program support services required to assist the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Advanced Technology Office (ATO) in the execution of it's maritime systems, communications and early entry/special operations mission areas. This effort will be focused on engineering and technical support services, engineering and technical integration and coordination, technical studies and assessments and technical documentation. The contractor will provide systems engineering and technical assistance in areas related to the demonstration and insertion of advanced technology to identify and develop new programmatic opportunities, investigate technical feasibility and assess alternative technologies to meet war fighting deficiencies, provide interface coordination for effort within TTO functional mission areas, and identify pathways for successful technology transfer. It is anticipated that the contract will be a cost plus fixed fee indefinite delivery indefinite quantity with a 5 year performance period. The estimated level of effort is 990,000 direct labor hours. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8741 and the small business size standard is $5 million. However, this requirement is unrestricted. Any potential offerors will be required to have/or obtain personnel and facilities cleared up to the TOP SECRET level. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 23 October 2000. No hard copy versions of the solicitation will be available.
