Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego Simplified Acquisition Monterey Site, on behalf of the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Monterey, CA, intends to negotiate and award a sole source procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 6.302 with Mr. Allen Polley, 1319 Chamisal Way, Pebble Beach, CA 93953. The proposed period of performance for this level of effort is 10 October 2000 through 30 March 2001. Place of performance is NPS, Monterey, CA. The contractor shall 1) lead at least ten weeks of discussion in resident Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) courses; 2) prepare and deliver lecturers in the area of decision science as assigned by the DRMI Academic Associate; 3) attend planning and debriefing meetings for each of the assigned weeks of discussion; 4) submit monthly status reports. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quotation. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten (10) after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
